helpp!!!!!

Hello, its been a very confusing time. Here goes why, i had unprotected sex with my bf once during (i think during my ovulation week), but he didn't cum inside and it was more of a quick in and out, but again not even close to cuming. 1 week or so after i started my period normally and i started to take the birth control after 1 month of not taking it. My period lasted the normal amount of days that it always does, but i have been spotting for two weeks daily after my period (brown spotting) . Today i took a pregnancy test (almost 1 month after that unprotected "sex") and it was negative. I am really worried because the spotting hasn't stopped and what i have found in the internet is signs of early pregnancy or problems with birth control. So i don't know what are the chances that i am pregnant. I really need help on information plss
