Finally got my period on Metformin!

Just wanted to share this somewhere because no one else that i know understands. I miscarried on 3/25. I haven't had a period since then. I met with my OBGYN 2 weeks ago to discuss that I still hadn't had a period and the fact that I also have PCOS (diagnosed last year) and I am wanting to try ttc again asap because that was our first pregnancy and I am almost 34. It took us 9 months to get pregnant, then lost baby at 6 weeks. Nothing about my periods have been normal, I have 40+ day cycles and I don't want to waste time ttc at my age. So she started me on Metformin for now and I will be seeing a Reproductive Endocrinologist soon. Anyway, I started metformin 5/11/20. The next day I had my first LH surge since my miscarriage (yes I had been tracking twice daily for 6 weeks). The LH surge started the evening of 5/12 (lines were equally dark) then peaked through afternoon on 5/14. I also confirmed with bbt. We BD but no luck. Surprisingly though, here we are 2 weeks after peak Ovulation and I started my period ON TIME!!!!! Not sure if it is the Metformin all ready working, but I am so happy that something to do with my period is right on time!
