Weighted blanket?

Has anyone tried a weighted blanket for babe? I found one for kids that’s only 3lbs and small for a toddler, I’m wondering if it’ll help my girl sleep. She tends to need my hand on her chest to fall asleep and sometimes wakes up to get it back

We use to use the weighted sleep sack but it was useless. It didn’t help her sleep better. Mine is also a hot baby at night so that didn’t help. But every baby is different. As of now mine sleeps best next to me. I wish she wouldn’t didn’t want her in the bed. Her crib is next to the bed so I slid her over when she finally gets to a deep sleep but she finds her way back.

They make me nervous. A hand on the chest to fall asleep is different than a weight on them all night. Their bones are growing and I feel like it could cause long term harm. When I use my weighted blanket my ankles are always sore from being “pinned” in one position all night, and it’s a very light weight. If it impacts me this much I can only imagine what it could do to such a tiny body. 3lbs is still a lot, even the nested bean sack makes me nervous because it’s a weight essentially in one spot all night long, to me it could cause abnormalities on their rib cage.

There are weighted sleep sacks. I agree that a weighted blanket at this age kind of sounds dangerous. I saw a weighted sleep sack on Shark Tank called Dreamland. I think it’s pretty pricy but they make sizes up to 24 months.
