Hemorrhoids?

Has anyone dealt with hemorrhoids post partum? I didn’t have any through my pregnancy or even through childbirth. I first noticed it December 26. I received a topical ointment. It improved slightly but didn’t go away. Now it’s the end of May and I think it’s larger and more irritating (itchy, sometimes hurts). I tried the ointment again but didn’t seem to help. Any tips or suggestions from someone who’s been through this? I’ve never had one before. Thank you.
