Breastfed babies —-late talkers?

My babe is EBF and has been for almost 20 months. He talks and says about 10 words, but I’ve met other babies who are much more verbal than he is. Curious if there’s a correlation between EBF babies and a delayed speech factor. 
Ps. I’m not worried about his speech, I know he’ll start to talk more eventually, just curious what everyone’s thoughts/personal experience is on this topic.

EBF doesn’t cause delayed speech. In fact some think breast feeding strengthens the mouth/tongue for talking

Both of my babies were breastfed 13 months and neither had trouble talking. My son was saying words by like 6m and actually saying like 15-20 words by a year old. My daughter not as much but still would talk. Every kid is different, but breastfeeding won’t have any negative effects on their speech.

I don't think breastfeeding has anything to do with it. My son was EBF and barely talks, but his friend was also EBF and she had like 40-50 words by 18m. There may be a gender correlation, boys tend to develop slower, but I think it's also personality. My son can follow directions so he understands language, and sometimes we'll catch him practicing words, but he's always liked to practice on his own before showing us a new skill.

My first was EBF for over a year and he was saying 5 word sentences shortly before his 2nd birthday. His first sentence, “no thank you, daddy, walk away”! 😆😆

My friends baby didn’t talk til she was 3, EBF but idk if it has anything to do with it 🤨 my son was talking a lot at 1.5 (formula fed though)

My girl has been ebf for 20 months and she can talk in sentences already and knows so many words I’ve lost track. I don’t think breastfeeding has anything to do with it. All kids are different and some take more time!!

Do you mean exclusively breastfed like he still only gets breastmilk and no solid food?
