Anonymous is back?

Anonymous has popped up again! I am not extremely informed about the details of them but a run down is that they started kinda as a joke and then became more serious. They are a group of hackers that have taken down religious web sites (Westboro and scientology being two), they played a role in the occupy movement and have exposed sex offenders. After about 6 years of not being in the public they posted a video stating they will be exposing the Minneapolis police department for the crimes they have committed and they supposedly have already shut down the police website. My questions are

What do you guys think of this? Is this the right move for justice and second do you think it's the same people as the first anonymous hackers or is it a copycat?

I personally am looking forward to whatever they expose and I hope they can keep their word and bring them to justice but I dont think it's the original hackers (which isnt entirely important since anonymous didnt have one leader and it's more of a movement)
