My daughter is slightly talking, she understands everything we tell her but she’s not saying - where you going or I want this. My friend made it seem that im doing something wrong! Oh yeah and she not even a mother and doesn’t even want kids...

Mine has been speaking in full sentences and sings/talks nonstop.  I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong.  They just have their own timeline of doing things.  My daughter is a very picky eater and hardly eats anything of substance.  So I think every kid is different!

You are absolutely NOT doing anything wrong. Don't let anyone pressure you into thinking you are. They are clueless about child development. Not every child develops at the same pace. Where my toddler may be talking in complete sentences, your child may be ahead in a different way. Read stories with your LO, narrate your day to them and in time, when your LO decides they are ready, they will talk more. If you are concerned speech therapy will give you more in depth strategies. You can even go to Pinterest to find activities to do with your LO to help encourage speech development.

My son is still not talking in 3 word sentences. 🤷‍♀️ I don’t think it’s anything you’re doing wrong. Some kiddos just take their time. It has been a conversation we’ve had with the pedi and will have again next month at his 2.5 yr appt. Daycare also mentions he’s behind the other kids his age, but I’m not overly concerned because he understands what we say and shows progress on his own timeline.

My daughter is very smart and talks a lot, but she still falls short with talking. She never answers my questions. Not even yes or no. She will just repeat the question for yes and says nothing for no. She also asks questions when she wants things instead of just telling me. She will say” Do you want milk?” Instead if can I have, or I want. She still struggles with the difference between me/you and mine/your. She can’t make the TH sound, is not good with Rs and Ls. I think it’s because she’s an only child and isn’t socializing because of covid. Her cousin is 8 months younger and speaks so much better because she has two older sisters.
