I know a LOT of Jasons who are between 25 and 45 years old, so it seems odd to me for a person born in 2020. 🤷‍♀️

I think it's a nice name. I knew a kid in elementary school named Jason and that's the only person I can think of  lol

Jason has been in the US top 1000 every year from 1880 to 2018, excepting 1899. It entered the top 100 in 1966 and was in the top 10 from 1971-1983. It has been declining in use since then, going from #11 in 1984 to #100 in 2018. 
Yes, it's popular in a kind of dated way, but it's not as popular as it used to be. However, consider that there are other spellings (Jayson, Jasen, etc), derivations (Jase, Jace), and super-popular rhyming names (Mason, Grayson, Greyson) that make it seem less distinctive.

I’ve only met three Jason’s. One spelled as Jason, another as Jayson, and the last as Jeysen. I think it’s a very cute and classic name regardless of whether or not it’s overused. It also ages very well.
