Covid increase due to protests?

So covid has been on the back burner in the news lately and I'm really going to be bothered if we dont see a respective increase in covid cases since large protest groups have formed lately. 
Anybody heard of numbers increasing? If they havent, what's the explanation?!  Like if we dont see these numbers move up like they should, I'm gonna be pissed that all these inconvenient shutdowns and unemployment happened unnecessarily. I guess I'm just ranting and ready for this covid mess to be over with lol.

I’m wondering if maybe the protests being outside is a reason we haven’t seen much of an increase yet? And nearly every photo of a protest I’ve seen, 95% of people are wearing a mask. Whereas with Memorial Day cookouts, people were outside but you can eat with a mask on. But the real test will be in another week or so, since symptoms can take up to 2 weeks to show

COVID has an incubation period of at LEAST 7-14 days, so any increase were seeing now is not from protests, it’s from people ignoring social distancing during Memorial Day weekend. Yes we’re going to have an increase in COVD. Yes it sucks. No we shouldn’t stop protesting. I’ll risk COVID if I have to to fight for my boyfriends right to live while black.
