How did you transition to cows milk?

No matter what I do, I feel like Jordyn is just not into it at all. I’ve tried both hot and cold and at meals and she just won’t take it. Has this happened to anyone else? We’ve been trying for about 2 weeks now.

I mixed it with her formula. We slowly weaned. So she would usually get 6oz of formula, so at first I did 1 oz milk and 5 oz formula. Then I’d increase how much milk I’d put and then I’d decrease formula by 1 oz until it was completely milk. She doesn’t get a bunch of milk because she eats other dairy products. If she is eating yogurt, cheese, or any other dairy products then she won’t need a lot of milk. She only gets 16 oz a day. It’s up to 16-24 oz is what the pediatrician where I live told me, but too much can constipate her. She’s not a big fan of drinking lots of milk anyways.

We also started with an ounce at a time and slowly increased. This will be her last week and I give her one full bottle of cow's milk a day the rest are still mixed. She looks at the bottle/cup different lol but she'll eventually drink it. I don't warm it up as much as I did her formula and sometimes I give it to her cold in her sippy, she prefers it room temperature.

Answer

Babies don't actually need to drink cow's milk, it's just a quick way to get them fat, protein,vitamin D and calcium. If they can get those things via other foods and dairy products then you don't need to stress about it.
