Opinion on jumpers/bouncers?

Laura

Hi all, i recently got my LO the ‘baby einstein neptune ocean discovery jumper’ because even though she is only 3 months old she can hold her head up really well for long periods of time when we hold her upright, and she loves “standing” (standing upright with feet on the floor while we hold her sides-she has strong legs already and has been fairly stable and not real wobbly for at least a month) and “jumping” (she’ll bend her knees and kick off our laps and we’ll raise her up in the air then back down) while we hold her. I thought she would love a bouncer because of this and I was right-as soon as we put her in it she started looking and moving all over the place. However i showed a friend and they said jumpers/bouncers are actually really bad for babies and I should get rid of it. Is it really bad for them? I would hate to get rid of it since it was fairly expensive and she loves it. But i’m a ftm and I don’t want to do something that will actually jeopardize her development...anyone have thoughts/experiences/opinions? I’ll add that I would never leave her alone in it i’m right there supervising when she plays. Thanks in advance!
