Weaning a toddler

Has anyone ever weaned a very attached toddler cold turkey? How did it go? Tips are welcomed!!

Getting ready to wean my 22-month-old because I’m ready, but she is extremely attached and I’m really nervous about it. I’m also emotional and sad because I definitely have enjoyed it. Thinking about “the last time” makes me want to cry. I don’t think a slow, gentle process will work for her though because I’ve already tried slowly cutting feeds and it seems to make her want it more.
