What activities are you doing with your lo at 4 months old?

What kind of things should i be doing so she hits certain milestones like rolling over? Basically anything a 4 month old should be learning soon?

Tummy time is good, but I’m the worst at it, and my baby still learned to roll over. I’m basically loving her, singing to her, reading before bed, letting her sit in her chair while I take care of my other 5 kids, keeping everyone fed, that’s basically it. Honestly, mine hit their milestones whether I actively try to make them or not. I’m just trying to keep everyone alive and happy over here. 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

My older daughter needed PT to hit her milestones like rolling over. They showed me how to help her get there. Lots of tummy time is important, but to help the baby roll you can get baby interested in a toy and then put it behind their head so they want to turn and look at it. Then use the toy to tap the hand you want crossing over baby’s body to “activate” the hand to reach for the toy. Encourage baby to reach for the toy to roll over. When helping baby roll you can hold the hand to help pull him or her over slowly, letting baby do most of the work. This is true when holding just their legs too. Help them get on their side and encourage them to do the rest. Hope that helps.

Tummy time and talking to your baby are very important at this age. My baby loves “talking” back to me. She started rolling over a few weeks ago and now she’s become a belly sleeper.

My son gets time on a blanket on the floor to allow him to rollover. He also sits in his bouncer and plays with the toys hanging from it. He has a few of the easy to grasp toys. I also use a burp cloth and run it down his head and face. Like peek a boo. He loves it. We read books and sing to him too.
