Baby not pooping..?

Recently changed baby to only formula and he hasn’t been pooping. We gave him gripe water and he pooped that night but it’s been 3 days since and he hasn’t pooped again? He gets very fussy and cries when trying to poo. We’ve also tried pear juice and have given him suppositories. What to do??

I’d definitely speak to his pediatrician before doing anything... but my sister had to put the tip of a thermometer in her sons bum a few times right after he was born. Obviously if you do this... you must know how to & definitely speak to his dr first! 💙￼￼

Try to move his legs, by moving his legs it should stimulate his bowels.

You can try prune juice. That has always helped my son. If it gets to a point where he is just feeling miserable because he can't poop you can lube up a qtip or a rectal thermometer with Vaseline or something like that and gently insert it into their butt but not too far in. Then gently swirl it and take it out. Diaper back up and give it an hour or so. Both of my kids have horrible constipation issues and this helps every time like magic! Good luck.
