Anyone else with 3rd degree tear??

How are you guys dealing with tears and pooping with it?? First time mom here and I wish I didn't read at all, I would have enjoyed this time so much more that way

I had a 4th with my 2nd. My god it was terrible!!! I took a stool softener morning and night 😂 I wiped very slowly and didn't strain myself. I took my time. After I thought I was clean enough I used a flushable wipe (i just tossed into the trash) and I sprayed it down with witch hazel before I wiped. 
I also lined tf out of my giant pad with witch hazel pads. I also stayed away from certain foods until my fear went away.

I had a tear with my first and was also nervous. I sat there and applied counter pressure to the skin that tore with the first bowel movement. It helped get over my fear!

I had a second degree tear with my first. Stool softeners, take your time, and use topical pain relief like dermoplast if you can. Witchazel wipes help too.

Thank you ladies! I feel the worst when I have to sit and nurse for a long time. And the fear of going to the washroom! 
Going to ask husband to bring me witch hazel pads today, hope they help

Had 4th degree tear with my 2nd child and he was only 7lbs 5.7oz. And so far this one measure 7lbs 12 oz. 😳😳
Stool softer, site bath with epsom salt each time, prune juice, miralax, icing. It takes forever to heal and broke my stitches from get in and out of the car. 
If you could, tried not to move around a lot and let someone help you with everything for 3wks.

They gave me a stool softener at the hospital whenever they took my vitals and that helped a lot. It didn’t hurt at all it just felt a little weird. The scariest part was wiping but I kind of started as far back as I could and worked my way, SLOWLY with a clean piece of toilet paper each time, to the front. Other than that it was painless. I’m still taking a stool softener twice a day just to keep it easy until I feel completely healed.
