On the fence for baby #2?

Is anyone else feeling the same way? I don't even know if I want a second kid.... but my husband does and we always talked about having two but I just love my son so much now and worry that the second one would be just too much I also dont feel like I have many pros to justify having a second one except for the soul fact that we always discussed having two. My son is amazing and the pregnancy was great so none of that makes me scared it's more or so if I could handle two and wether i would even like having two.

I thought I wanted mine close together (and I’m 40, so short on time), but I’m still so exhausted. #1 is still not sleeping through the night. I haven’t slept 8 hours straight since he was born. We were going to try when #1 turned 1 in May, but my husband was reluctant and overwhelmed. Now he’s more on board and I’m reluctant and overwhelmed. If I were younger, I would wait a bit longer.

I always thought I wanted at least 2 but my husband has said he doesn’t know if he’ll ever want another one. Now I’m starting to feel the same way & I’m very content only having my little girl.

Maybe eventually we will try for another, but its not even remotely on the radar right now. I’m really just enjoying this time with my daughter right now. I don’t want to divide my attention up. Andddddd I don’t want to be sleep deprived again like I was in the newborn phase 😅 the ptsd from that still hasn’t gone away lol.

I didn’t get pregnant with my May 2019 baby until my first was 2 and it’s been a good gap. I was totally not ready to try again AT ALL when my first was 1.

I have very similar thoughts! My boy just turned one and my husband has always talked about wanting two. I also had a very smooth pregnancy, delivery, and our boy has been an easy baby, aside from not sleeping through the night yet. I’m worried the next baby would all be opposite to him. Ive told my husband about the specific reasons why I do not want another child (some of them being because of his habits he’s shown during this last year.
He has very poor sleeping habits, I’ve told him he could have helped a lot more during the nights) other reasons being how I just want my hormones and body/ breasts to be mine again! I think it is very easy for the men to just want more kids but I am not the type of woman to give in when I do not see fairness in the situation.

My little girl is 13 months and I’m expecting our second any day now (39 weeks). Whilst having babies close together has been gruelling on my body (I’m 37) my husband and I are looking forward to this little one arriving. We have had a very easy first year with our daughter (only wakes up once a night at moment due to teething, very easy child to entertain and no troubles learning to eat food). I think if our little miss was more challenging we may not be as joyful about welcoming our second so quickly. 
We didn’t plan to get pregnant as quickly as we did (we were planning more of an 18 months between children)but trust God’s plan for our marriage and children and thankful for his hand of protection. 
We are hopeful that our new bubby will be as easy as our first. I’ve always wanted children and if the Lord blesses us we would like to have 3 or 4. However this means that our children will be close together in age and we are okay with this.

I don’t think there’s any reason to make a decision now. When my first was this age I 100% did not want a second anytime soon. Didn’t super duper want one when #2 happened a year later tbh. I was hoping for a 4-5 year gap. My husband wants a third but I’m undecided about it. As far as I’m concerned we’ll make that decision when baby is 3-4 years old because I am not about this gap again.

I’m 17 weeks pregnant. My boys will be 18m apart. Im glad they will be close and my son will have a brother close to play with and grow up with! It’s also not anymore expensive to have another baby right now... 
I get to get this stage out the way at the same time versus starting over in let’s say 3-5 years.
