How long is a long time ? Are u both stable to take care of urself and a child of it doesn’t work out ? Do u have a career? A car? Ur own place ?? A good saving? Is he ready to be a parent ? Does he want kids ?

If you see marriage in the future then why not wait to have the child till after you are married? Protect yourself and the interests of your child by ensuring that they are brought into a loving stable home and in the event that things dont work out you have leverage that can work in your favor during court proceedings later.
