Test for COVID during the labor & delivery??

Soo....I’ve been looking at videos/vlogs. Most people are saying that the test is a long swab q-tip goes up your nose &or your throat???
This is process done before or after you go to the delivery room???

In New York City. When you are admitted you will be tested. If you refuse you and the baby will be separated for two weeks. The father/whom ever you choose to be there for the delivery will also be tested. If everyone is negative no one gets to leave and come back. Once your partner leaves he can’t come back. So pack to eat crackers lol.I hope this helps

WA state, got a covid test as soon as I went into L&D, my husband was not tested but he is required to stay in the room with me the entire time and not leave.

Not every hospital does testing unless you have symptoms. Mine doesn't. Its pretty much the same test they do for the flu.

Call your doctor and ask. I asked at my last appointment. I’m 34 weeks now they said that I would have to get tested before I deliver 
but my husband does not.

Ask your hospital. I will have a Covid test between 38-39 weeks. Then I need to isolate as much as possible until delivery. If I go into labor before then, they’ll test me once I’m admitted. My husband won’t be tested, but he’ll be screened every 12 hours.
