First Ultrasound?

If you live in the US - what week did your doctor schedule your first Ultrasound? Mine first is scheduled for around the 10 week mark and I feel like that’s really far away!

Usually between 8-12 weeks. Any earlier and you won’t see everything you need to and can cause a lot of needless worry.

8 weeks this time, first time we had a concern about a growth they had just found so we went in at like 4 weeks. It's usually between 8-12 weeks from my understanding unless there is a reason to think there might be an issue.

My doctor normally does an ultrasound after the second appointment. So the first appointment is confirming your pregnancy then 2 weeks after he does the ultrasound. So my first I was 6 weeks when I got my ultrasound, second I was 7 weeks this pregnancy I was 7 weeks as well. Then he does one more ultrasound 3 weeks after to make sure baby has a heartbeat and is growing. I’ve heard most doctors don’t do any ultrasounds till your 12 weeks. So 10 weeks isn’t to long they probably wait till your further along so they can see a fetus and a heartbeat because sometimes if you get it done to early some patients freak out if their isn’t a heartbeat yet or you can’t see anything but a sac.
