Potty Question for Boy Moms

Hi Moms!

My son is almost 3. We decided to potty train him during quarantine (what else to do? Lol) and it went great! Now that we are starting to go out and about more, I don’t know how to approach public restrooms when he just has to go. I don’t want to put a pull up on him every time we leave the house either. Went out to eat tonight, he had a pull up on, but in the middle of dinner he announced he had to pee. I was not prepared. Brought him to the bathroom, cleaned off the seat and sat him on there (knees together, lean forward, that’s what they do at daycare) and he still peed all over his pants which were around his ankles 🤦🏼‍♀️. What can I do to make this easier??? Help!!!
