Won’t take pics together

We’ve been together for 8 months. He does not like to take pictures of himself. He has been bullied in the past about his looks. He’s said before that he wants to take pics together so he has something to post and can show off how happy we are. But we still haven’t. He asks at the wrong time or we just never think of it in the moment. We typically aren’t on our phones a lot around each other. Anyone else experienced or experiencing this? Sometimes I feel it’s not a big deal but others it bothers me when I see happy couples on social media. Kinda just wanted to vent.
