She’s here! But I have ????

Question

Our Rainbow baby made her appearance June 26 🤍. She is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen and my heart is so full! 
I have some questions since I’m a first time mom! I feed her and she spit up while she slept even though I tried to burp her (being breast fed) what’s some tricks I can do to help her burp?
When does the worrying stop of her having SIDs? I’ve had 7 hours of sleep total in three days. Just because I’m so scared I’ll miss her choking. We have an owlet sock at home tho!
How much love can your heart really handle??? Mines about to explode!

She is beautiful! Congratulations!
Those first time mom fears are crazy! I went through it too! I have calmed down a bit now. My little one is 6 weeks. I still stare at him to make sure he’s breathing, but I am sleeping a lot more than I did those first few night! 
My little one spits up in his sleep too. He turns his head to the side, so he doesn’t choke or anything. I haven’t figured out how to help him burp when he doesn’t. A book i read said if they don’t within 5 minutes it usually just isn’t happening then.

8 month old momma here. First, your baby is Adorable! Congrats on being a mom!
Good news: spit up is normal and burping is a skill you and baby will get used to. I started with my babe on my knee holding her chest with one hand and burping her with the other. This was the best way when she was really small.  Also over the shoulder works too, just get the baby high enough. Either method can take time. Sometimes they won't burp, but you'll get the hang of it. I felt like a burp whisperer after a while lol.
Bad news: SIDS risk is pretty high for the first six months and drops gradually from there until baby is 12 months, so it will be a while before that's off your mind. Also, be careful about the owlet, I really considered getting one, but there were some reviews where the monitor got too warm on their baby's foot and left a mild burn. We had our girl in our room until 6 months (in her crib). That way we could get to her in a second of she needed us.
Whatever you do, trust yourself and remember, you are the best mom this baby could ask for😊👍 Good luck!

Congratulations!!! Second time mom here so I feel like i’m having to relearn everything lol. I remember the first year being a blur but if I tried to burp my son and he wouldn’t burp we would just give up and wait for the next feeding. Sometimes they burp sometimes they don’t. As for the sids thing, that’s hard. Not trying to scare you but I just read a story on here about a woman who’s TODDLER passed from SIDS... so I still worry about that. Just keep that baby monitor on, and check on them through the night. Someone showed me a trick, if you get a small compact mirror and put it close to baby’s face, if you see it fog up it means they’re still breathing. We did this probably until my son was 1. Now I just check on him in the night and it’s a little easier to see if his chest is rising now that he’s bigger.  Good luck to you!! Y’all are great parents already
