Is it just me?

Question

Ladies, how are your little ones temperament typically on a day to day? I know it changes everyday with teething, growth spurts etc. But as a whole, how are they? Are they happy to play independently, do they need mama all day, etc?
I'm finding it increasingly hard to do anything around the house even if it takes 2 minutes. As soon as I try and do something that HAS to be done like cook a meal or quickly clean a mess off the floor etc, it seems my LO immediately fusses and throws tantrums because I'm not giving him my 100% attention. 
I leave the chores that can wait until after he's down for bed but some things are unavoidable like cooking him a meal. Things are just becoming really stressful, trying to do such little tasks. He whines, cries and fusses as SOON as I start to do anything. 
I love him SO much, I'd do anything for him, he's literally the best thing that's ever happened to me. But recently, all the tantrums, whining, fussiness is starting to trigger my anxiety.
I'm a SAHM with no breaks other than when he sleeps. 
Anyone else in the same boat?

My daughter is like this some days too and I'm a teacher so currently a stay at home mom since it's summer. At first I made every attempt to make sure she wouldn't whine and cry but after awhile I noticed it was mainly because I wasn't paying attention to her. So as long as I know she is fine: clean diaper, water, something to entertain her, I do whatever I need to do if its a few minute activity such as making her a meal or starting laundry. She does it less now but still has her days where she just whines all day and I agree, it is taxing on our emotions.

My son gets obsessed with things.  It was closing the doors then opening before I got safty latches.  Now it's light switches and he wants me to pick him up to turn them off and on.  It's exhausting cause that's all he wants to do.

SAME! That’s exactly how mine is most of the time! Rarely he can entertain himself for a few minutes but he’s definitely a whiney little guy

My son's temperament is whiney/fussy. He will play independently in one area for about 20 mins before the whining starts. If it's our basement we get more time out of him because there's more for him to do. I guess that's just the way he is. We usually switch rooms when he isn't happy doing anything. Teething makes it a lot worse I find. But overall he is just a big whiner!

My LO can entertain herself and play independently pretty well, better than I’d expect a 15 month old to play at least. However when she is not feeling independent, it’s exhausting. I’ll try to do dishes and she cries while holding on to my legs or doesn’t want me to put her down or has meltdowns when I run to the bathroom. My dad built us a stool for her and it’s been an absolute godsend. I can cook and clean while she stands in her stool at the counter watching me or playing with whatever cookware I’ve thrown her way. Makes me think she just wants to be a part of whatever I’m doing. It’s tough stuff to handle though and I’m sorry it’s triggering your anxiety.
