Is it rude?
Do you think it’s rude if someone comes into your home finds one thing that is dirty and tells you that they want to clean it because it’s disgusting? I had a friend (not super close with) over at my apt. My apt is generally pretty clean. First he points out that he has the measurements to my filter if i ever need it changed and i tell him “so do i that’s how i changed it”. Then he proceeds to tell me “your bathtub is disgusting let me clean it” i say “I’m not letting you clean my tub” he keeps saying “please let me clean it”. Mind you he was all saying it in a rude way. Later on i say out of saltiness “hey are you going to go clean my tub?” he looks at me shocked and says “well.. uh.. when i get the stuff” i say “what stuff” he says “my cleaning supplies from my apartment” so i say “i have cleaning supplies under my kitchen sink”. He just shakes his head and ignores me.
He said all of this in front of my friends i had over.
I’m so annoyed. I didn’t invite him to find anything about my apartment to complain about. I just think it’s so rude. He doesn’t live here so leave me alone. I was always taught as a child to not comment on other peoples homes. Even when i went over to a friends house and the floors were covered in stuff i would never say anything.
