Is everyone on progesterone post IUI?

My gyno had me on progesterone, but now that I switched to a reproductive endocrinologist, they had me stop using it. I did my first IUI last month, which was unsuccessful. They told me I’d restart progesterone once I get pregnant but that it wasn’t necessary for me to use after the IUI and during the tww. I’m noticing a lot of you here are taking it post IUI, and I’m kinda wondering if I should bring it up again. I have a ton left over from my last filled script and I spot every month a few days before my period comes. I think it would benefit me🤷‍♀️ Do any of you NOT take it? Anyone have any thoughts to offer here?
