Baby story!

Well to be honest I didn't think she was going to come on her due date. I had no signs of labor. On 6/30 around 8:30pm I was getting these really sharp menstrual cramps that started in my back and went to my lower belly. Those happened about every 10 minutes. I wasn't sure if they were contractions or Braxton hicks. I talked to my mom and she told me to go to bed and see if they kept me awake. Unfortunately they did. Around 11:45 I got up to use the restroom and I had lost my mucus plug. After that the cramps were getting stronger and closer together. By 3am I couldn't take the pain and not getting any sleep. I woke my husband up told him "We need to go!" We got to the hospital about 3:45. We were admitted into labor and delivery around 7am 7/1. They gave me my epidural pretty much right away. Could I say that thing saved my life! A few hours later after being checked I was only at a 3 so the decided to start pitocin to get things rolling. They checked me about every hour but I had only progressed a centimeter each hour. About 2-3 hours after starting the pitocin my dr came in and broke my water and checked me again. This time I was at a 6. We waited a little longer say maybe 2 and a half hours and the nurse came in to fix my monitors and check me again. When she went to check me she hadn't even touched me yet and said "Oh my gosh! The baby's head is right there! We're having a baby!" She went and got things ready for delivery then had me practice a few pushes. She called the doctor in to come deliver. I pushed for maybe 35 minutes tops. Didn't really feel a thing but some pressure here and there but nothing painful. I did end up with a 2nd degree tear on the inside but I'm glad to have my beautiful baby!
