Cramps during first trimester

Veronica

Okay, let’s talk cramps.

So, I know cramps are normal. I had them with my first born, and I remember them getting to the point I held a heating pad on them because of the pain. Now, I don’t really wanna do that this time. How bad is too bad?

I had my Pap smear yesterday at my 8 week appointment, I also had a little more of an eventful day after and didn’t get to relax as I normally would. I’ve been having cramping pretty consistently all day, standing shockingly, they aren’t too bad. They get kind of sharp, and then they go away, and come back and they do kind of hurt. I am also having back pain a little worse than usual, but I always have ha back pain. I am of course worried and I don’t want to run to the hospital to get checked, and I don’t wanna bother my midwife over cramping because I was told unless I have any bleeding to try and stay calm and see if they go away because she knows I’m really worried.

So, to help ease my mind can anyone tell me how bad their cramps were during your first trimester? Thank you.
