Anyone else sick of the hairless beauty standard for women?

I’m so tired of being expected to shave. I’m tired of people saying it’s gross, smelly, ugly, unhygienic, etc etc etc. to have body hair. shaving is unhygienic, time consuming, expensive, and, for some people, dangerous. 
I really just want to be my natural self without feeling self conscious and being criticized.

Sometimes I shave, sometimes I don't. I stopped caring what others think. My husband is fine with it and his opinion is the only one that matters to me

Yup! I don’t care to shave when I go to my drs appointment anymore. My boyfriend doesn’t care if I let the forest reclaim the land or shave it all down. He prefers some hair on me anyways

I shave when I want to now. There’s times I look at myself and I’m scream because I’m so hairy 😅 other times I don’t give a crap. Got lucky with my husband who doesn’t care. Maybe it’s because we’ve been married for a couple years and stuff like that doesn’t matter but I will comment and he’ll say I know but look at my legs 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ I think people are slowly becoming more accepting of it. It will take a while to undo the years and years of society telling women that hair is ugly and gross. 
I even catch myself looking twice when I see a women with a pit full of hair. Not in discuss but more shock? Like how could they do that lol... but it’s just hair whatever

It is personal and you shouldn't care about others. In italy I saw many hairy women and they gave zero fucks. 
I honestly like a good wax but again is personal choices. 
My husband and my ex bf also trim and I like it.

I'm at a point where I shave when I want to. I can typically go a couple weeks before my leg and armpit hair start to get itchy/ bother me and really only trim the bush once a month or so, a little more now bc it's summer. I think we should be past the need to tell people what to do with their bodies in general, unless it physically impacts other people (ex:COVID masks)

I prefer to shave everything. legs, arms, armpits, vagina. I just like it that way. I don't see a problem.

My parents think I’m some hippy, burn-the-bras type lesbian because I don’t shave often. The fact of the matter is, women were influenced to shave by offensive razor company ads that convinced us that we were ugly or gross if we didn’t, purely so that these companies can expand their consumer audience and make more money. I shave if I feel like it, but most of the time I just don’t. My dad gets grossed out by my pit hair and I told him I’ll shave when he does. If he’ll take the extra time and buy the extra products to do so, so will I. But I won’t be held to an unequal standard just bc I’m a woman. I think all women are beautiful, whether they have body hair or not.

Honestly I don’t shave my legs but once every couple months. I don’t shave my pubic hair unless it starts to get too long and mats up from too much movement. I shave my armpits because when I work out I use tank tops.
My boyfriend doesn’t complain about my pubic hair he finds it sexy. He doesn’t complain about my legs not being shaved.

I dont keep up with shaving or waxing i do it when i feel like it.
