Baby in church service

So, not going to lie, church is hard for us. Most parents put their little ones in nursery or Sunday school, but I'm not comfortable with our nursery. However, there's not a lot of babies or toddlers in service and so I get a little stressed once my son gets loud and he doesn't sit still for long these days. My friends baby is the same and she just lets her daughter walk around on the floor during service. I'm weird about doing that as my son gets exploring and is way too distracting. He doesn't want to stay by us if we do that, he wants to say hi to everyone and if I pull him back to us he will start crying. I've only tried once and thought that was such a terrible idea, but him seeing our friend's baby on the floor makes him want to go play!!! How many of you let your little ones be on the floor during service, or do you think that is weird? I personally think it's gross as it's where everyone's feet are 😕 but just wondering if I'm being uptight, lol.
