Depo shot and trying after!

Taylor

Hi ladies! I have a question for those of you that have been on the Depovera shot. I have been on the depo shot for about 2 years now. I’m soon going to be getting off of the shot and will want to start trying for a baby soon.

And well what I am asking is how long and bout how many tires did it take for those of you that were wanting to have a baby end up with one?

I know that the depo shot says it can take up to a year or more till a woman can be fertile again to have a baby.

But I am a diabetic so I feel like my hormones and the insulin will effect that, for as a diabetic medications don’t work as well as they should and have to be upped in dosages and amount taken each time.

I will be going to my doctor soon to get a appointment to see how fertile I am.

I also hardly ever have a period and part of that is due to my diabetes. I get it about maybe 3/4 times a year and hardly for 3-4 days. If I’m lucky I get a long heavy period and will have to take a blood thinner because I have low iron as well. I take supplements of iron to help with that though.

However, as of lately I will have a period due to stress or maybe a high blood sugar but my sugars have been much better the past two years.

Any one have any idea what I can do to help get my period on track? And any info on how you went about having a baby after being on a depo shot? TIA!!
