Can you ask for epidural to be turned down?

Been in labor for about 5 hours and I hate the way the epidural feels. Anyone who has had one before - are you able to turn it “down”? My nurse hasn’t come in forever 😿

Yes, depending on how much is going in. Push your button and talk to the nurse when she comes in. They normally can’t adjust it without talking to the anesthesiologist first so it might take some time to get it adjusted

They had to turn mine down when it came to pushing so I would be able to push more productively since I was unable to feel any of the contractions. But the nurse had to call the anesthesiologist to turn it down

Oh yes. I had to because mine was working too well. But beware of what you are asking for! Your gonna feel it!
