Flat spot help?

Hello ladies! Any one have any advice on flat spots and anything that worked for you?
My son has a flat spot on the side of his head from in womb- he preferred that side and STILL does. He do stretches so I know he doesnt have torticollitis, we do load of tummy time, when not in tummy time i try and either hold him or put him in a bumbo/seat (i have a two year old and cant hold a baby 24/7).. i alternate crib sides (he turns and lays on both sides but prefers that one.) i baby wear him when out and about so he isnt in the carseat.. but it still looks pretty flat.
Any advice that has helped you or past babies? Preferably not a helmet- they are so so so expensive. I know once he rolls and sleeps on his belly and starts sitting up for play it will get loads better but i’m just trying everything i can now

Hi there, my baby was referred to get a helmet but I didn’t want to go that route either,. The doc said she didn’t have torticolis. I found a reputable chiropractor who specializes in maternity and pediatrics. She said my baby definitely had torticollis and brwchiocephally. She was able to treat her there instead of having a helmet. I was skeptical about chiropractor care but I’m so happy we went.

I think everything you're doing is right. If you're sure he doesn't have torticollis and the majority of the time he's awake is not on his back (that's what it sounds like) then I think you're doing it all right. My first had torticollis though with her flat spot. She had physical therapy and we did more tummy time, held her on opposite sides when feeding, did some neck stretches that I was taught how to do (though it might not be applicable to you). It'll get better with time if you keep it up. It doesn't look like it now, and it is so early. My first didn't start therapy until she was 4 months and only did it until she was 6 months. Never needed a helmet, just therapy. But if you're sure he doesn't have torticollis, then just do more tummy time, alternating sides on the crib, alternate feeding sides if bottle feeding, etc. You could also bring it up to his pediatrician at his next appointment. They might have other recommendations.
