feeling overwhelmed

my boyfriend and me recently started becoming sexually active. we use condoms every single time and i know for a fact he doesn’t cum in me. either ways i want to get on BC to be protected. i still get paranoid every single time we do it because i really don’t want to and can’t get pregnant right now. Should I wait till I get on birth control to keep doing it or is it safe the way we’re playing it right now ?
