Anyone notice this?

Whenever you mention a more difficult part of pregnancy, like morning sickness, lack of sleep, or something else, and whoever your talking to like one up’s you?

For instance, in the first trimester, I got really sick in the afternoons and would throw up a couple times. I would mention it has been a bit difficult to work during those times because I keep having to run to the bathroom. Then whoever I am speaking to says “oh, that’s nothing. I was sick the entire time I was pregnant with all of my kids.” I finally got so fed up that one time I responded with “I didn’t know it was a competition.” I felt bad for the response, but it just felt rude. Like most women know pregnancy can be hard. Can we maybe not make people feel bad for having a more difficult time sometimes? I’ve stopped saying anything at this point, because I feel much better (second trimester) and because I realized that many respond this way. Especially the older ladies.

Anyone else have this?

Also, I’m not asking if I overreacted in that situation. I mentioned I felt bad for my reaction. Just asking if others have noticed people do this as well.
