Post vasectomy pain?

So my fiance is getting his done this Friday and we are wondering how much pain he will be in afterwards. We are hosting our kids bday party on Sunday. Also any tips or tricks for helping with pain would be awesome!

A pack of frozen peas will be his best friend. My ex husband wasn't in too much pain. Just took it easy for a day and kept the peas on his  area and he was good to go the next day. Good luck.

My BIL complained for days. He was so dramatic about it. It was the only topic he wanted to talk about (we were all visiting my MIL a couple years ago). I’ve had a c-section and my spleen removed and complained less than he did about pain. 
My husband is having one done at some point. I don’t doubt there’s pain, but I don’t think it’s at the level of being immobile on the couch for a week.

My husbands friend had it done. Said he had more soreness then anything for a few days
