Cry to sleep or nah? #2yrold

My daughter is almost 2. We got her a toddler bed and started laying down with her in her room with the lights off and then leaving after about 20/30 so she knows its time for bed. We have a nightime routine. The whole shabang. She was doing pretty well the first week. Would cry on and off for alittle while, run around her room, talk ect and then put herself to sleep. As the nights went on she would cry for less and less amount of time before falling asleep. Then all the sudden she started making a scene at bed time. Throwing everything on her bed to the floor, turns off her night light and on the bedroom light. Runs in circles around the room (literally). Or she will jsut cry like we abandoned her for atleast an hour. Can anyone else relate? Does anyone have any tips. I work at 4am most morning and staying up to fight these tantrums are killing me!! 🥴💀 Ive been making her stick it out on her own and she always does put herself to sleep but why all the fuss now!?!?!? 😭 lawwwwd pleaaaaaazzz
