Did I do something wrong?

My bf has a short temper lately. I’m starting to think he’s finding ways to break up with me. But when I bring up the topic of breaking up he comes blowing up my phone and showing up at my job begging to stay and saying he will change his attitude.

Im starting to believe it’s all my fault. So we were texting fine. We were talking about his day. He’s always talking about his job. He works as a mechanic and his best friend is a 40 year old man. My bf is 23 and he sees him as father figure since he never had that father figure in his life. So I see how they interact on social media and they have some type of bro-mance. They are silly friends. I bring this up because this is how it led to our fight.

We were talking about his friend and i simply said “haha baby I’m getting a little jealous of your friend. He gets to see you more than I do jk baby 😘“ so he went off by saying he thanked him so much for helping him out find a good job and that he is such a father figure to him. Ive met his friend, his wife and his kids. They’re kind people. As you can see in the text, he send me a voice message saying how he was tired. He sounded so sleepy and mumbled words. I asked him “ babe are you okay hahaha you sound soo tired” he responded with a voice message saying I was asking annoying questions that he was simply tired. Then as you can see he said “I thought u where pregnant once again” we had a pregnancy scare this month. I am taking birth control but I guess stress delayed my period 5 days late for the first time ever. As you can see I respond back confused. At this point he is saying he doesn’t want to argue but no one had been arguing. Also we were never trying to conceive so I have no idea what the whole topic of pregnancy was about.

So I told him this. My bf loves to joke with his friends and myself. He suddenly tells me that he didnt like the remark I made toward his friend. So I asked what exactly was he mad about. He literally told me he was made I ask annoying questions, a false alarm pregnancy, and the fact I made a joke about him spending time with his friend.

He ended up calling me telling me if I wanted to know why He was mad. I said “yeah? I’m honestly confused.” He said he was hoping my period was late because I was pregnant and it all ended up being a negative and a false alarm” wtf..... and he hung up on me.

Also, 2 days ago he asked me to borrow money to fix his truck. He needed a 2k part and needed help. I told him I would help him with my next check on Friday. But his attitude is just insane. He gets mad over the simplest things. Sometimes I feel like I can’t even make any remarks.
