Can my newborn sleep in a different room for naps?
Planning on having him sleep in a bassinet in our room for the first 4-6 months, but I’m wondering what to do with him during naps throughout the day. Don’t necessarily want him to be sleeping in a swing or bouncer all day because those aren’t even considered safe for sleeping. But can I leave him alone in another room that early? I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with the rooms on either end of the kitchen/dining area so its not like he would be too far away, plus I thought his nursery would be good for napping in because it has black out curtains and his crib is straight in from the door so it is visible from the kitchen. Plus I have a monitor. Can I leave him alone in his nursery crib during the day for naps while I do things in the living room/ kitchen if I leave the door open, watch the monitor, and check on him periodically?
