How long into a serious relationship do you typically move in together?

I am only thinking about this because I’m trying to plan my next few years and it’s my first serious relationship (he’s a bit older)
We are on year two but he’s building a mobile home to live in to save money to buy a house which has been his dream to do for a long time and he’s worked so hard on it. I’m just afraid I won’t have a place in his dreams to do this (I have a cat he’s allergic to so can’t live in a small space with us, the van is only for one person or two for a weekend and my job doesn’t travel like his can). I’m worried that I will have to wait a few more years for him to live in this van before I can take that step with him.

We were dating for about 9 months when we moved in together, then got engaged a year later. That felt like a very natural progression for us... But it also sort of depends how old you both are. 
If you’ve been together 2 years I find it a bit weird that he’s making this decision without taking you into consideration. If you both work full time wouldn’t it make more sense for you to get a small apartment and save together towards buying a house? Again, if you’re only like 19 maybe it’s a bit soon to be making these decisions.

I moved in with him and his mother only a few months in because i was trying to get away from my family. I believe it really helped develop our relationship because by the time we got our own place, there were no surprises on living habits. We already knew how we worked together and kept things

no right time since every couple is living differently. i’m sure if he’s with you rn he sees you in his future so o wouldn’t worry about that, let things progress as they do naturally

We were pretty much FWB for a few months, nothing serious, then he went to Europe for 2 months and he moved in with me straight away he got back, so maybe 6-7 months after we met, made it official when we got engaged a year later 🤣

depends on how old the couple is, if they have the means to pay for a place, whether or not it’s culturally accepted, and if they feel like its best to live together. 
tbf i’d love to live with my bf, however we’re both only 20, finish our degrees, and don’t have full time jobs. besides, we’ve only been together for almost 10 months. i reckon in our case, it’d be a few years before we’d move in together. 
this question doesn’t take into account other circumstances of a couple, so time wouldn’t matter.

I have been with my bf for 1 year and we are moving together next month. I can say there is no exact time to do it, that depends on lots of thing in the relationship. But if you both agree with moving together I wish you my best! Good luck!!

I moved in with my husband right before we got married, it was just before the 4 year mark. We had been living with our parents and we both finally had stable jobs at that point. (He was still in highschool when we started dating) so it really depends on where you are in life and what the plan is.

Hm, i have built a van too, 
And I have often moved in too fast. 2 years is definitely awhile, as 4 years or longer could be. 
But, it just depends on what you really want. I think relationships are much more exciting not living together.
