Should you be together for the kids? (If you and the spouse tend to fight often)

We have good days then bad. Sometimes I hear my man would say provocative things towards females not specifically towards someone I know but, just randomly. I tell him to stop then once I bring up oh how’s your friends he got mad at me and literally threw my daughter bouncy ball at my face full force and called me a whore. As I am very not letting you slide type of person I slap him in the side of the head. I love this guy but, am I very very in love with him? Eh abit. I believe deep inside me I don’t want to be that typical family that separates and have my family be like I told you so. If that makes sense
