Will baby be okay if I don’t have my first prenatal visit until almost 12 weeks pregnant?

I just found out I’m pregnant, I assume 3-4 weeks along. My OBGYN doesn’t have any openings until mid September, meaning I’d be at the end of my 11th week. Will baby be okay until then? The only other thing I can think of is going to a separate womens center to get an ultrasound around 8 weeks?

I mean, just gonna be blunt, seeing a dr doesn’t change or reduce the risk of miscarriage. So yeah, most likely baby will be OK ￼￼

I would go to a pregnancy help center they give free ultrasounds and check ups,it’ll give you a peace of mind about your health and also your baby’s.

Just be sure to take your prenatals and call if you have any abnormal symptoms. Baby should be just fine! 🙂 They really don't do much in the first trimester. Just monitor and make sure youre feeling good!

That’s when I had my first appointment with my actual OB. I had a dating scan at 7 weeks but only because I work in a radiology clinic

Very normal. All of my pregnancies I was seen between 10-12 weeks. If you’re worried about a miscarriage they can’t do anything to stop your body’s natural process anyways. Idk that that actually helps nerves but I was happy with my miscarriage that I wasn’t seen beforehand. I think it would have been more painful to see a baby and then lose it
