My baby is in the 99.8th percentile in weight??

Question

He is 6 weeks old and weighs 15 lbs. he is breastfed only. 
What is going on? I’m freaking out. That’s obviously not normal

My son was always this way too, you can't overfeed a breastfed baby. They will gain how they're supposed to, don't worry mama. My son was 25lbs at 6mo, he was always in the 99th and higher (off the charts) percentile. Now he's 3 and long and skinny. 
If your Dr isn't worried, then you shouldn't be worried.

My son was a big boy and chunky. He is 4 now and thinned out. They pack on weight and grow. It's ok. Your doctor will tell you if something isn't right.

He looks perfect.  Just a big, healthy boy :)  my son was 9lb 14oz when he was born.  He's 4 weeks old now, and 12 pounds.  I think I'd worry if he wasn't gaining weight. Breastfed babes cannot overeat.  They take what they need.  You have a beautiful little boy!!

He’s fine sometimes babies are just big and he was 8lbs at birth so I saw in comments if it was a worry your doctor would of said something but it is extremely hard to over feed a breast fed baby they will stop if they aren’t hungry anymore :)

My oldest son was 25lbs when he was 6 months old. He was only breastfed as well. They said he was overweight. I laughed and thought how could I be overfeeding him with breastmilk🤔 I just let him take the lead when it came to eating. And taught him healthy eating habits as soon as he started to eat table food. He is now a healthy 11 year old who is in the 75th percentile and is predicted to be 6'1" when he is fully grown. Your baby will start to "thin out" when he starts to crawl.

So cute! He’s healthy! Trust me as he gets to crawling and walking, baby fat will shed off! Enjoys those rolls!!! Wish my kids were chunkier!
