A1C LEVELS
With my first two pregnancies I have been gestational diabetic and would control my eating habits and journal and do a finger pick. (I've had a different obgyn each pregnancy) This pregnancy I failed the 1 hour test that they wouldnt even let me do a 3 hour test. I've been managing by diet again. My sugar levels during the day are normal after 2 hours of fasting but my morning blood sugar is always around 100mg. My dr. Wants it under 95mg or she will give me diabetes medicine. The last 2 appointments she checked my a1c. Both times (1 month apart from each other) it was 5.1 which is normal; however she is still wanting me on medicine bc my morning fasting level is not under 95mg. I am 34 weeks pregnant now and I feel at a loss. My appointment is this morning and I gave up on even journaling these past two weeks because my morning levels are never under 95mg. The lowest I can get is like 95 but it is not often its closer to 100mg. I am frustrated.
