When can you start a transfer cycle when doing PGS testing?

G

If you are PGS testing and your results will definitely be ready before it’s time to transfer BUT they are not ready yet on CD1, can you still start your transfer cycle that month?

Context: My PGS results are supposed to be done 14 days after egg retrieval which (depending on when my period decides to show up—I’m not doing BC so we can’t control it) would be sometime between CD1 and CD7 of the next cycle. My doctor said he wants me to start estrogen pills like CD2 or CD3 of my transfer cycle, so the PGS results may not be in yet by then, but they’d definitely be in by the time we’d be ready to transfer.

I’m just wondering if it’s possible to start the transfer cycle protocol before we are sure of the PGS results, or I’m going to have to wait another month? Honestly at this point I’d rather just get started and risk having a cancelled cycle on the chance that we don’t have any normal embryos, than just sit around twiddling my thumbs for another month... but I’m not sure if that’s even a plausible thing to ask my doctor for. Has anyone had a similar situation and what did you do?
