Do you feel any different when you're dilated?

I've been reading a lot of posts stating that they are walking around being 1cm-4cm dilated but not having any signs of active labor yet. If you are in this scenario, do you feel any different down there through the day while being dilated? 
FTM here and I'm 30%effaced but not dilated at all. 38weeks and 6 days now.

Two weeks ago I was 1cm dilated and thinning, not sure now but I’ll be checked this week again. The only thing I feel is a lot of pressure down there and I’ve been getting a lot of menstrual cramps and lower backache.

The only thing I felt different was that baby was REALLY low. Like I could feel her way down in my pelvis to the point where I seriously thought if I reached in, I’d surely be able to feel her head. The pressure was insane. That was the only way I felt different

I'm a FTM and was admitted to the hospital for monitoring twice when I was having contractions for a couple hours at 35+6. I could still talk through them though and they were like period cramps. I was 90% effaced and 1cm. A couple hours later I was at 2cm. One week later still no change. Other than some irregular "period cramping" throughout the day, I don't feel any pressure or anything different. My next appointment is tomorrow and I still don't feel any pressure or anything different.

My OB said with ftm you efface all the way to 100% and then you start dilating. Second or more babies, your body can dilate and efface at the same time. 
I’m pregnant with numbers 2 & 3. Went in last week and was 3 cm dilated and 70% effaced.. I had no idea

I was 3cm for at least a week before I had my son at 38 weeks and didn’t feel any difference. This baby I have so much pressure and pain it’s terrible. I’m calling my doc tomorrow (I’ll be 35 weeks) to check me because I’m also having blood pressure issues over this weekend.

I am 36 weeks and 3 days and I was 1cm and 60% at my appt yesterday. I have been feeling pressure for a few weeks and today the pressure has increased a ton. When I sit down to pee it feels like he’s going to fall out!

I've been 4 cm dilated for over a week. I have contractions here and there. But I've had contractions since 29 weeks and was admitted for preterm labor and was only 1 cm at the time. So I don't think it feels any different than then. I'm now 37 weeks.
