Swelling and Redness?

Its been 4 days since my C Section, and was wondering if the swelling and redness were normal? I don’t see my doctor again until next week😕

My stomach was red from the disinfectant they used. I had some sort of allergic reaction and my skin peeled right where they applied it. But swelling is absolutely normal. Imagine they cut you open and that was just 4 days ago! You could wear a belly binder to help with it and also take ibuprofen (I was allowed to) and put an ice pack on it. Keep it clean and dry at all times! 😊

I’d say the incision looks normal. Swelling can be reduced by keeping clean and taking your pain meds (Motrin is great for inflammation). You could always try ice pack on top of underwear to help with swelling
