Fast resting heart rate

For the last week or so while I’m at a resting state my heart starts beating super fast. It happens once or twice a day. My Apple Watch says anywhere between 100-110 bpm. I also have normal blood pressure. I had my 32 week appointment today and brought this up to my OB. She says it can be perfectly normal for a faster heart rate with the extra blood volume. She is referring me to a cardiologist for an EKG to make sure nothing is truly wrong.

Anyone else have a fast resting heart rate or have had to have an EKG while pregnant?
