Contractions??

Question

Went in today for monitoring and ultrasound (41 weeks) and they said I was having contractions and it feels tight/uncomfortable but it’s nothing like the pain people describe! Did anyone else have this? They offered to induce tonight but I decided to wait til Monday hoping that he will make his debut on his own. I’ve had literally no other signs of labor. I’m not dilated but my cervix is soft.

I remember receiving a non stress test at 36 weeks and being told I was having contractions but that I couldn’t feel them. It wasn’t a big deal to the doctors but it kind of freaked me out. I ended up having my daughter 3 weeks later

At my 38 week appointment they kept asking if I felt the contractions but I didn’t feel anything - not even tightness. They told me I was having pretty good ones and quite a bit.
I’ve felt Braxton Hicks before and I’ve felt mild period cramping but I didn’t feel a thing when I was on the monitor being told I was having them. 
My water ended up breaking almost 2 weeks later at 39 weeks 5 days. And the contractions in actual labor were NOTHING like the mild ones I felt. I had back labor and the contractions were extremely painful!! Hahahahaha.
