Would you allow your 6th or 7th grader to take a course on sexual harassment so they will know how to know if it’s happening to them and who to tell .
My husband and I and we’re talking because he just recently found out about a family friend that was molested as a child and is just now coming out as a grown person. My husband made a comment that he feels like boys and girls should take a separate course to know about sexual harassment and who to tell when they get in the 6th or 7th grade. He thinks it’s a good idea for a video to be created of victims telling their story (in a pg way of course) and sharing it during the course. He feels like this will help create less sexual harassers and less people being sexually harassed because of the added awareness. I said I don’t feel parent would be comfortable with this being taught to their kids. What do you think?
