Should I go to my cousin's wedding?

My cousin and I ended up getting engaged a few months apart. His fiance is amazing and I work with her the past couple of years as well! The issue is they are having their wedding first. June of 2021 and mine will be in October 2021. So I haven't yet sent invites yet but I came to find out they already had. The problem was I never recieved an invite. So, assuming I will eventually have an invite turn up I didn't think much of it. I called my mom and somehow we got on the topic of their wedding and I found out I had been invited. They sent the invite to my parents? And told them they can only bring me and my sister. I was alittle confused as I'm 26 and haven't live with my parents for 8 years. But okay. Here's the catch my fiance is not invited to the wedding. I don't feel comfortable going to the wedding without my fiance. Should I just decline? Or not even say anything. Its all been wierd since I work with the fiance and she's already stepped her foot down on no my fiance is not invited(there's no explanation so I'm assuming its financial reasons)

If it’s financial reasons it’s understandable. I’d say just go and then invite your cousin to your wedding and exclude his wife lol. I think it’s a little weird they said he cannot go.

I think I’d be more insulted that they included your invite with your parents’ invite than the no fiancé thing.

Weddings can get expensive quickly and also some venues are limiting capacity due to covid.... so knocking down the invite list can be tough. I wouldnt tk it personal....

My best friend is getting married next year. We’ve been friends since we were 3, we’re now 23/24. I’m her maid of honour. Our 2 other friends who we’ve been friends with just as long are bridesmaids. She’s not invited any of our partners, all of whom are long term. I’m engaged and have a 11 month old and am 20 weeks with number 2. So it’s not just some random boyfriend😂 it kind of bothers me a bit. I was going to make her godparent to my first until she made the comment “if you can’t find childcare then I suppose you can bring him”. I then changed my mind, this is my best friend of 20+ years of my life and my son isn’t even invited! I couldn’t imagine not inviting partners/kids to my wedding, and my fiancé agrees! We’d rather wait and save and do it properly

Something tells me you and your sister weren’t invited at all and your mom insisted to their mom/them that you should be. Very strange for sure. Have you had problems before?

You seem to get along well with your cousin and his fiancé so I would just go. Although a bit odd, to me it’s not such a big issue that your hb is not invited, or at least not big enough to decline their invite. 
Also I would invite them both to your own wedding, in case you were already planning to do so before their invite.

i would politely decline and be done with it. unless i was super close with my cousin i’d probably go and my so would be okay with that (we don’t have to go everywhere together personally). 
i agree with whoever commented that you should be concern they sent the invite to your parents house instead of yours unless they didn’t want to offend your fiancé. it does seem like it was a financial problem and probably not lightly. don’t be a petty person though and invite them both since they will be married if you can.
